Jump to the full entry & travel map Biggera Waters, Queensland, Australia We were glad to move campsites, only 20 mins down the road but much better as the site had tennis, mini golf, heated pools etc... And they were nice too there as the camp kitchen closed at 9 there and there was TV. When you're in a tent, that's the down thing, no entertainment and early nights so we hung around in camp kitchens and watched TV and he let us lock up after ourselves, bless him :) This was really cool

To hear the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce tell it, the group is suing the state to block new anti-mercury pollution rules because it just wants the Department of Natural Resources to follow a reasonable process. Nothing different than determining the length of the deer season or the amount of walleye you can take. Wrap yourselves up, on behalf of mercury, in good old Wisconsin hunting and fishing sport. Those WMC spinners are awesome!.

Last weekend I went to the latest West Country Writers Association Congress in Bristol. What could persuade me to leave my lovely Pennine home and travel over two hundred miles to a Conference? Of course it is always good to come home to the West Country and the speakers are invariably interesting but the Congress is more than that – it is meeting up with old friends - like novelists Helen McCabe, Jean Saunders and Fay Sampson - making new ones and the interaction between so many different type

So, we went fishing again this evening...and it was done against my better judgement since I left in the middle of taking my final exam for Economics. It has been the week from hell and I am so mentally exhausted that I just cannot even think anymore! I studied hard this week, got a B in algebra but am afraid to even know what I might get in Economics. But the damage is done..I finished my exam as best as I could but am not feeling like I got the gist of it. But what can I do but try and hope f

You really can’t beat Wellington on a good day and what a lovely morning I enjoyed today. First I bumped into Andre Russell, newly from Provoke (who was off to feed the ducks by Te Papa) and we shared coffee at Mojo. Then I visited Elements again. They had flat mushrooms. And they kindly made my favourite brunch - brushetta with pesto, grilled flat mushrooms, goats cheese feta, chopped mint & flat leaf parsley, with grated potato hash browns on the side. Divine. I made time to drop in and

I captured these two elderly men fishing on the shores of a lake last weekend. The shot was actually taken in Ostróda and not Toru?...but I liked the composition so much that I wanted to share it with you all.

Between a quarter and a third of the world’s wildlife has been lost since 1970, according to data compiled by the Zoological Society of London. Populations of land-based species fell by 25%, marine by 28% and freshwater by 29%, it says. Humans are wiping out about 1% of all other species every year, and one of the “great extinction episodes” in the Earth’s history is under way, it says. Pollution, farming and urban expansion, over-fishing and hunting are blamed. River dolphin The Living

My dad happily used the flatfish as his bait for bigger fishes. And when it came back, half the body was gone and the head got bitten off. Apparently. Oh, received CAP. Qutie satisfied I must say. At least I improved. ;D I was aiming for 4.0 when this freaking 0.03 won't come to me. =( Aiming for 4.2 next sem~!

Jordan is our youngest daughter. She is two years old and full of life and mischief. Recently she came crying to mom, complaining about her nose hurting. Terri quickly discovered the reason. Seems Jordy had put a coca puff in her nostril! lol It pained her even more to get it out. But what did Terri catch her doing shortly thereafter? Yep, she was going for the other nostril. Like so many of us, she kept doing the thing that hurt her. This week I was having lunch with one of our elders when I
